Passed away into peace on the 16th of March, 2015 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony in her 88th year, Mrs. Emma J. Edison. Left to mourn are her children Grenfell (Marie), Winston (Christine), Jim (Wanda), Rose Tucker (Rick), Mazie (Lester), Wavey Hedderson (Clarence), Kevin (Gloria), and Cassie Edison-Huntley (Steven); 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sisters Annie and Fannie; brother Pleman as well as a large circle of friends and family. Emma was predeceased by her mother Lucinda and father Reuben, husband Robert, four brothers and two sisters. Visitation took place the Central United Church at Quirpon Branch, from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 20 with Rev. Dinesh Gomes officiating. Burial followed the service at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
