Eva Bishop
BISHOP, EVA
With sadness the family announces the passing of Eva May Bishop, which occurred on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at her residence Embassy Hall, Shannex. Born 1922 in Amherst, NS, she was the daughter of the late Whitfield and Annie (Thompson) Douthwrite.
Eva worked many years as a clerk for Irving Data Control retiring in 1982. She served in WW II and was a member of RCL Branch #64. She served as Past President and Secretary of the Seagulls of Market Square.
She is survived by her son Richard of St. Albert, AB and a daughter Carol Sewell of Quispamsis; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; sister Jean Gouchie of Sudbury, ON; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, five sisters and a son-in-law Murray Sewell.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Tribute to a Veteran Service will begin at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
