It is with great loss and sadness that the family of the late Gertrude Payne announces her passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the age of 95 years. She leaves to mourn daughters Lillian Biggin (Jim), Jerene Biggin (Clyde), Alice Clarke (Gordon), Beulah Hiscock (Bobby) and Frances Hutchings; sons Sandy Payne and Willis Payne (Daisy); sister Maggie Major; daughters-in-law Margaret, Geneva, and Linda; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by husband Stedman Payne, sons Wayne, Murray and Stedman Jr. and son-in-law Andrew Hutchings. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Visitation was held at Good Tidings Pentecostal Church, Port Saunders throughout the day on Tuesday April 7 with a hymn sing at 7 p.m. and funeral service followed on Wednesday, April 8 at 11a.m. Interment was held at the Anglican Cemetery in Rocky Hr. with Pastor George Coles of Deer Lake presiding.
