It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth (Liz) Loretta Parsons, of Corner Brook who lost her short and sudden battle with cancer on April 11, 2015. Liz was born March 20, 1944 in Norris Point, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Bugden. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, James Parsons; one son: Howard Parsons and wife, Raelene of Corner Brook; two daughters: Diane Parsons, husband Alex Calderon of Whitby Ontario, and Sandra Scollay (Parsons), husband Ken of Brampton Ontario, six grandchildren: Cassandra, Sarah, Audrina, Joshua, Justin, and Christina, one brother: Cliff (Jacqueline), four sisters: the late Lorraine (Frank) Fitzpatrick, the late Vernice (John) Mackenzie, Bernice (Jim) Beaton and Rachel (Doug) Maynard. The family will receive friends from Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Curling Street on Monday April 13th, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian burial will take place from Sacred Heart Parish Curling Street on Tuesday April 14th, at 10:30 AM with Father Don Leonard officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit.
