Gilbert Boone
We, the family of the late Gilbert Boone, would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who expressed condolences on his passing through so many kind gestures. The outpouring of love and support will never be forgotten. The many emails, phone calls, mass and sympathy cards, as well as, the tremendous attendance at Da's funeral mass was truly overwhelming. It was a fitting tribute to an extraordinary man, husband, father and grandfather. Special thanks must be sent to the doctors and staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital ICU. Especially Dr. Ansari, Dr. Maharaj and Krista Gallant R.N., you are truly an amazing group of professionals. Many thanks also going out to the members of the John Bernard Croak, Branch 3, for the honor guard, ceremony, Da was so proud to be a member. To Anita Woodford-Danyluk and Greg Woodford for providing an incredible rendition of Da's favourite song. Also the Ladies' Auxiliary at St. Anne's Church for the reception after the service, and Father Leo Boone for officiating the funeral mass. To Ken MacGillivray and his staff at MacGillivary's Funeral Home you are a credit to your profession.
