Parsons, Lorena E. – Age 91, of Parrsboro passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at home. Born in Cape Bald, NB, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Emelda (Babineau) Lorette. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Parsons (David Dean), Toronto; sons, Douglas (Dorothy), Parrsboro; David, Bridgewater; Michael (Sandra), South Brook; Frederick Lorette (Jackie), Stewiacke; a sister, Joyce Meyers, Lower Sackville; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon in 2013; a sister, Freda; brothers, Valerie, Bill, Roy and two brothers in infancy. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday [April 20, 2015] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 11 a.m. on Tuesday [April 21, 2015] at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Parrsboro, Deacon Howie Goldstein officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
