LEWIS, Gladys Marie (nee Gibbons)- Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, January 23, 2009, at the Palliative Care Unit, St. John's, Gladys Lewis of St. Vincent's, S.M.B., aged 84 years. Predeceased by husband Herbert (2002), son Clayton (1992), parents Aiden & Mabel Gibbons, brothers Fredrick & Eric and sister Nora Klingle (Bill — deceased). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories five sons: Michael, Wayne (Theresa), Randall (Helen), Aiden, Toby (Anita); three daughters: Shirley (Ted Gibbons), Maxine (Art Critch), Cindy (Glenn Hartery), sister Genevieve (Bill Hawco); brothers Lawrence (Mary — deceased), Harold (Nance), Ray (Josephine — deceased), Arnold (Mary - deceased); 15 grandchildren: Claudette, Coralee, Tracey, Nigel, Clayton, Allison, Krista, Justin, Tyson, Priscilla, Travis, Matthew, Morgan, Vanessa, Christopher; 8 great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Avery, Carter, Soren, Alex, Jack, Hailey, Shane and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Fr. Battcock Memorial Chapel, St. Vincent’s, on Saturday, January 24, 2009, from 7 - 9 p.m. and Sunday, January 25, 2009, 2 - 4 p.m.; 7 - 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Monday, January 26, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, St. Vincent’s. Burial to follow.
