1939 - 2015
James Dugas, 75, of Moncton, NB, passed away on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB. Born in Campbellton, NB, he was the son of the late Albert and the late Eva (née: Hickey) Dugas.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Dugas worked as a regional director at Via-Rail. He took great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren; he also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the parish council for Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix parish.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Claudette (née: Doucet); three sons: Michel (Monique), Alain (Jacqueline Bourque) and Gilles (Sylvie); one sister, Huguette (Raymond) Englehart; six brothers: Lionel (Claudine), Roger (Carole), Donald (Marina), Edmond (Karen), Jean-Charles (Marlene), and Marc (Lyne); 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Jeannine.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Thursday from 2:30 pm until time of departure.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB, on Thursday, May 7th, 2015 at 4 pm.
Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
