We, the family of the late Joseph Blinkhorn, wish to thank our relatives and friends for their wonderful outpouring of support for us at this most difficult time. To those who visited our homes, brought food, telephoned, sent on-line condolences, Mass and sympathy cards and donations, you will always be remembered. We would like to send our gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Marek Knott for his wonderful care and compassion for Dad over the years and in his last hours. To the doctors and nurses of the Cape Breton Cancer Centre, paramedics, nurses of the ER and 4 West Northside General we are forever grateful. To Dr. Drew Bethune and the nurses of the 6th floor Victoria General Hospital thank you so much for your care and professionalism. To Father Peter MacLeod, the organist and choir, Eucharistic ministers, lectors, pallbearers and the Bras d’Or Pensioners honour guard thank you for the beautiful service. A special thank you to the CWL ladies for a lovely lunch following the funeral. We are also grateful to Erika and staff of JM Jobes Funeral Home for your compassion and personal attention to our needs and requests. To each and every one who reached out to us in any way please know how much it was appreciated. To walk into a packed church to celebrate our fathers life was truly an honour and Dad would have been so proud. God Bless you all.
