It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jean (Buddie) Myers of Park West Lodge, and formerly of Cornwall, on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009. Born in Crapaud on the family farm on MacDonald Road, Jean was the eldest daughter of Frank and Margaret MacDonald. Jean is survived by her daughter Sheila Estabrooks and son-in-law Mark, Earltown Lake, N.S. In 2003, Jean was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Ralph Edison. Her son, John Franklin (Jack) predeceased her in 2001 and her daughter Katharyn Mildred Lea in 1983. A very proud grandmother to Jack's children Jennifer, Jacqueline, Angela, John and Mike Myers; Kathy's children David, Ralph, and Kirk Lea and Sheila's children Craig Smith and Jaclyn MacPherson. Jean is survived by her brother Norman (Ruth) MacDonald, Crapaud, and sister Margaret (Randy) Watts, Sudbury, Ont. She was predeceased by her sister Annalea Weeks. Resting at the Dawson Funeral Home, Crapaud, with visitation on Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday, Jan. 27, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Funeral service from Dawson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Interment later in Crapaud People's Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Crapaud People's Cemetery, QEH Foundation (oncology department) or charity of choice.
