CARSON, EILEEN
MONCTON/OTTAWA- Eileen Rae Carson, 97, St. Vincent’s Nursing Home, Halifax, formerly of Ottawa and Moncton, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15th, 2015. She was born on April 2nd, 1918, in Moncton, to Arthur Ray and Margaret Ann (McNairn) Carson.
A graduate from McGill University with a degree in library sciences she subsequently went on to a lifelong career with the National Research Council as a department head. Eileen was an avid traveller which gave her the opportunity to enjoy fine food and wine that she sampled on her many trips abroad.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her only sister, Christina Isabel Roulston (nee Carson).
Surviving are her nephews, Carson (Donna) Roulston, Stellarton; Marc (Cyndy) Roulston, Texas, U.S.; and great-nephews and nieces, Wyatt, Travis, Lauren and Emilie.
A family committal service will be held in Moncton at a later date.
She will be surely missed by her family and friends.
