LÉGER, DORIS
1932 – 2015
Doris Léger, 83 of Moncton and formerly of Saint-Antoine passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the UHC Dr Georges L Dumont, Moncton. Born in Pré-d’en-Haut, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Dora (Gould) Gautreau.
She will be sadly missed by her two children; Gisèle Richard (Arcade) of Saint-Antoine and Gilles Léger (Dorine) of Dieppe, her three grandchildren; Chantal Melanson (Fabian) of Belliveau's Cove, NS, Martin Richard (Marie-Claude) of Lévis, QC and Nicole Richard (Monica) of Saint-Antoine. She also leaves to mourn two sisters; Althéa Dupuis (late Yvon) and Lilianne Hébert (Ernest) of Dieppe, her two sisters-in-law, Thérèse Gautreau and Dorilla Gautreau and several nephews and nieces.
Doris was predeceased by one son Guy (1973), three sisters; Prima LeBlanc, Marguerite Gionet, Lorraine Gaudet and four brothers; Fred, Frank, Laurie and Camille.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Antoine Church on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her three Extra-Mural nurses; Monique, «sa petite Julie» and Guylaine.
In Doris’s memory donations may be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation or to the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Parish Fund.
