WARNOCK, IRENE
The funeral service for Irene Mary (Hooser) Warnock will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church in Grand Falls, NB, on Saturday, May 23 at 2PM. Visitation with the family will be at O’Regan’s Funeral Home on Friday, May 22 from 7 to 9. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.
Irene died on February 22, 2015 at the Tobique Valley Manor in Plaster Rock. She was 93.
For all of her life, Irene was a kind and loving person with a beautiful smile and a deep appreciation for family and friends. She married Forbes Warnock in 1942 and together they owned and managed a potato farm in Drummond.
She was pre-deceased by Forbes and by five of their sons. She was also predeceased by her parents, William and Elsie Hooser; by her sister, Winifred Hooser and by her son-in-law, Harry Lafreniere
Irene will be greatly missed by her children: Elsie Lafreniere; Prince George, BC, David (Judy) Warnock, Montreal, QC, Nancy (Norm) Rollheiser; Chilliwack, BC, Laura (Greg) Crouse; Beaver Dam, NB, Ann (Donald) Tarlton, Montreal, QC. Irene took great pride in her grandchildren: Amy (Michael) O’Hara, New York City, Jason Rollheiser (Kari Sann); Melbourne, Australia, Adam Warnock, Montreal, QC, Kyla Rollheiser; Chilliwack, BC, Jennifer Warnock (Jason Hedrich); Pittsburgh, PA, Tara Crouse (Scott Derrah), Ottawa, ON, Tyler (Aki) Crouse; Osaka, Japan. Irene was delighted to be the great-grandmother of: Ben and Devon Derrah, Ottawa, Noah, Haya and Niji Crouse; Japan, Huon and Isla Rollheiser; Australia, McKenna O’Hara, New York City.
Because her church was so important to Irene, we suggest that anyone who wishes to commemorate her life with a donation choose one of the following, or a charity of their choice: St. Andrew’s United Church, Grand Falls, % Peter Pirie, PO Box 7189, Grand Falls, NB E3Z 1G5. Pine Hill Cemetery, % Stewart Manuel, 568 St. Jean St., Saint Leonard, NB E7E 2B5.
The family expresses deep gratitude to the staff of Tobique Valley Manor for their loving care of Irene and to Reverend Steven Longmoore for his kindness and many visits.
