The family of the late Donald E. Nicholson would like to express sincere appreciation to all family, friends, neighbours and former co-workers who visited to express their condolences. To those who brought food to both our homes and to the reception at Patten Funeral Home, those who graciously made numerous charitable donations, sent cards, left condolences online and made long distance phone calls, your thoughtfulness will not be forgotten. A special thank you to Reverend Vernon Reid for the beautiful service and to St. Mary’s Choir for their attendance. It was a fitting tribute to Donald. To the doctors and nurses at the Glace Bay General, the Cape Breton Regional and QEII Health Sciences Centre, thank you for the care and compassion given to Donald and his family. The professionalism of doctors/specialists - Dr. D. Annamalai and Dr. Mark Taylor was so appreciated. We would especially like to thank Michelle Young and the staff of Patten Funeral Home for their professionalism, kindness and compassion. There are no words to express how grateful we were to everyone.
