Hector Joseph MacDonald, 90, died May 23, 2015, at the Alderwood Nursing Home in Baddeck, N.S.
Born in Gillis Point, he was the son of the late Hector and Mary (Dickson) MacDonald.
Hector spent most of his life on the family homestead in Gillis Point before moving back to Baddeck in 2007.
He is survived by one brother, John (Marie), Washabuck; sisters, Margie, Westmount, Agnes, Iona, Jean, Grass Cove; sisters-in-law, Rose, Washabuck, Minerva, Pickering, Ont.; brother-in-law, Murdock, Gillis Point; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Ronald (1), Adam, Dannie, Joseph and Ronald (2), sisters, Betty, Faye ad Mary.
Hector requested that there we be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a graveside service at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff of Alderwood for their kind and compassionate care.
