Paddy
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our precious father, grandfather, great-grandfather Paddy Carroll who passed away peacefully at the Lion's Manor Nursing Home, Placentia, formerly of Red Island and Fox Harbour, on May 31st, 2015, at the age of 92. Predeceased by his wife Nellie, daughter Kitty, son-in-law Vern Zwicker, grandson Paddy Mulrooney, and his parents William and Ellen Carroll. Leaving with fond and loving memories his children Billy (Doris) of Ferndale, Viola (Gord Murray) of Windsor, ON, Betty (Cyril Noseworthy) of Mount Pearl, Judy (Francis Mulrooney) of Dunville, Cyril (Dee) of Hamilton, ON, Mary (Ken Duke) of Mount Pearl, Pat (Patsy) of Dunville, Jerome (Barb) of Point Verde, Gary (Sandra) of Smithville, ON, and Ellen (John Griffiths) of Kitchener, ON; his 22 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; his brother Cyril; sister-in-law Margaret of St. John's; sister and brother-in-law Kate and Bob Salm, USA; all of his nieces, nephews and friends, his godchild Jackie Mulrooney and special friend Matt Spurvey. Visitation will take place at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia on Tuesday, June 2nd from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm, and Wednesday, June 3rd from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral Mass will take place 11:00am on Thursday, June 4th at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia. Burial to take place at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the NL Alzheimer's Association.
