SYLVESTER – Betty Louise Hazel Grosvold, 84, Sylvester, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Sylvester, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Edward and Annie Alda (Deagle) Dunn. In her late teens, Betty became a hair dresser and was employed with the late Pearl Smith in Stellarton. Following her marriage to Olaf, she worked beside him at their Loch Broom garage for many years. Betty was a loving and supportive wife, nurturing mother, doting grandmother and wonderful sister, who will be dearly missed by those she loved.
Surviving are her husband, Olaf; daughters, Inga Grosvold Inukjuaq; Annie Grosvold, Sylvester; Hazel (Dennis) Sheehan, New Glasgow; son, Michael (Cheryl) Grosvold, Berwick; brother, Arthur “Art” (Joan) Dunn, White Hill; grandchildren, Jordan, J.D., Eirik, Leann, Erik, Dan, Thomas, Jeffrey and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Evan and Ethan; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Halvard; sisters, Olive MacDonald, Iona Armstrong and Mary MacPherson; brothers, Herb, Linton Cyrus “Reg”, Radley “Rad” and Alec.
