1920-2008. Died peacefully at his home in Spaniard's Bay, on Monday March 24th, 2008, Edward Harvey (Harv) Vokey (retired teacher) in his 89th year. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted family, wife Ellie, son Keith (Lidy), daughters: Dianne Carr (Gerald), Holyrood, Jeanette Russell (Lloyd), Bay Roberts, Glenys Walsh (John), Carbonear, Gail Downing (Wayne), Harbour Grace. Grandchildren: Keith, Frans (Melissa), Mark (Christina) Vokey; Jennifer (David) Mugford, Peter Russell; Alison Carr; Jessica, Laura, Melissa Downing. Great grandchildren: Owen and Jack Vokey; Several nieces and nephews and many friends. Resting at his son Keith's residence, 3 Vokey's Rd. Spaniard's Bay until noon on Thursday March 27th, followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at Holy Redeemer Church, Spaniard's Bay at 2 pm. Interment at the East End Cemetery, Spaniard's Bay.
