WESTON, CHARLES
The death of Charles Ward Weston, loving husband to the late Dorothy (Brown) Weston, occurred on Saturday June 6, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born December 24th, 1924 in Fairfield, NB, he was the son of the late Harry and Frances (Armstrong) Weston.
Charlie was a kind hearted man who had a passion for cooking, gardening and being outdoors. He was a faithful member of All Saints Anglican Church, Upper Loch Lomond and was a long-time member of St. Martin’s Orange Lodge #16. Throughout his career he was employed with Thompson’s General Store, Century Steel & Boiler as well as E.S. Stephenson’s.
Charlie is survived by his daughter Sherry (Norman) Fawcett; son Gary Weston; brother Arnold (Rita); sisters Leatha McGrath and Elizabeth (Gerald) Chamberlain; grandchildren Meaghan (Ryan) MacMaster, Michael (Sandra) Weston and Karen Weston; great-grandchildren Brandon and Michaela as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by his brothers Lawrence, Edison, Arthur, James, Frasier, Joseph, Wellesley and a sister Mary Maynard.
The family would like to thank the Loch Lomond Village for the care and love given to Charlie during his stay and a very special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses of the Palliative Care Unit.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Mosher Hill Cemetery.
