It is with deepest sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Ann (Parks) Oickle, age 64, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and best friend, on Friday, June 12, 2015, at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Gladys (Jesso) Parks.
Patsy worked for many years as a bookkeeper with her husband Alex operating their own business. She was a kind, loving and gentle person who saw the good in everyone. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Sydney Mines.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Alex Oickle; her three sons, David Reynolds (Janice) of Florence, John Reynolds of Sydney Mines and Robert Reynolds (Amy) of North Sydney, by a stepdaughter, Tanya Oickle (Jaz) of Sydney Mines and her 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, Hugh (Judy) Parks of Florence, Bill (Juanita) Parks, Middle River; two sisters, Sheila Capstick and Susan (Michael) Boutilier, both of North Sydney.
She was predeceased by her parents; stepson, John Alex Parks; brothers, Joseph, Ernest and a sister, Debbie.
Visitation for Patsy will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Northside Baptist Church, Sydney Mines with Pastor Jason Homan officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Northside Baptist Church or a charity of choice.
