Kathryn Coholan-LaChance
COHOLAN-LaCHANCE, KATHRYN
July 19th, 1950 - June 16th, 2015
It’s with sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter and our sister, Kathryn (Kathy to her parents) Coholan-LaChance. With much support and love from her husband, Charles and daughter, Genny (Genevieve), Kathryn battled cancer for the past three years. She and Charles were living in Quebec after moving there from Vancouver where they had spent 30 wonderful years.
After being Valedictorian for the class of ’69 at Harrison Trimble High School in Moncton where she was born and raised, Kathryn moved to Ottawa working with CP Insurance before moving to England for a year with the Government of Canada. She then travelled around Europe even picking grapes in the beautiful wine country in Bordeaux, France.
She then moved to Vancouver where she met Charles and had her darling girl Genny. Kathryn worked for UBC as an Administrator to the Director of the English Department. She thoroughly enjoyed organizing conferences across Canada and overseeing research papers for grant applications.
We will miss our oldest child and daughter, Kathryn, and she will always be in our thoughts. Kathryn leaves behind her mother, Charlotte, father, Bo, sisters, Brenda, Mary, Jeannie and brother, Patrick and all who cared for her in her life.
There will be no funeral services but in memory of Kathryn, please feel free to donate to your choice of Cancer Research projects.
