It is with great sadness that the family of Edgar Payne of Parsons Pond announces his passing at Bonne Bay Health Centre on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the age of 83 years, 11 months. Left with fond memories are: his wife Jenny (nee Biggin); son Michael; daughters: Janice (Rick) Bennett, and Renee (Jody Blanchard); brother Oscar (Helen); sister-in-law Lucy (Rod) Goosney; brother-in-law Donald Jewer; grandchildren: Robbie (Angie), Isabella, Samantha (Brian), and Michelle (Jimmy); great-grandchildren: Hope, Destinee, Lilly, Peyton and Brody; nieces: Ruth Jewer Le Drew (Larry), and Tamara (Jasper) Decker; nephews: Lee (Jean) Jewer, Henri (Vicky) Goosney, Hollis (Iesha) Goosney, and a large circle of dear friends and other relatives. Edgar was predeceased by his parents Garland and Isabel Payne, his sister Hilda Jewer, parents-in-law Charles and Medora Biggin and sister-in-law Carolyn Decker. Visitation took place at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Parsons Pond on Sunday and Monday from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 9 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery in Parsons Pond. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
