1944 - 2015
St-Édouard-de-Kent, NB – Maria Eagles, 70, passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent, surrounded by her loving family and friends, on Sunday, June 21, 2015, after a brief illness. Born in Rexton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hector and Annie (Richard) Eagle.
Maria lived her life to the fullest one day at a time. She was involved in the AA Group and Al-Anon Family Groups for 41 years.
Maria will be sadly missed by her three brothers, Bertin (Laurette) of Richibouctou-Village, Augustin (Rita) of Moncton and Hector of Ontario; her two sisters, Claudia LeBlanc (late Alban) of St-Édouard and Noëlla Bellefleur (Bob) of Moncton; she also leaves behind a special niece, Marie-Anne and several nieces, nephews and her loving furry friends, Bonnie, Sassy, Snowy and Robin.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Laurie; her three sisters, Georgina, Albertine and Martha.
Visitations will be at Sainte-Anne-de-Kent slumber room, on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 2 until time of funeral. Funeral service will be held at Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Roman Catholic Church in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 4 pm. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kent County Veterinary Hospital, 118 Acadie Street in Richiboucto, Chu Dumont Foundation (Oncology Department) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Dr. Georges-l.-Dumont University Hospital Centre and the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, also to Dorina (Joe), Rose-Eva, Doris and Lorraine.
