SMITH, ANNA E.
Anna Smith of Wood Point, NB passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, on June 26, 2015 at the age of 85. Anna is the daughter of the late Hilda (Meed) and Captain Wylie Tower.
Anna was predeceased by her husband Russell Smith.
She is survived by a daughter Diane (Dyck) Johnson and her husband Roy, a sister Erma (Tower) White of Sussex, NB, niece Jo-Ann White, several great-nieces and nephews, as well as cousin Elaine Tower of Portland, OR, and a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law Irene and Laurie Smith in Drew Nursing Home.
Anna was born and grew up in Digby, NS. She was a pioneer Telephone Operator, working in Digby and Moncton. Anna was a very talented woman, she loved doing and selling crafts, was a beautiful seamstress and an avid reader. She was a member of the Wood Point Baptist Church and the Ladies Missionary Society until her sickness changed her life.
The family appreciates and wishes to thank Lois and John Wood, Judy White, Ina Claire and many others Anna has not mentioned to us who have helped her throughout these last difficult years.
Anna was buried in Westcock Cemetery, Westcock, NB.
