COLBERT, Elsie (nee McDonald)– March 28, 1952 - January 22, 2009. Passed peacefully away at the Whitehorse General Hospital, YK, on January 22 after a short illness, with her husband Kenneth by her side. Elsie was predeceased by her loving parents Frank and Alice McDonald and sister Mary. Left with a heavy heart to mourn her loss are loving sisters: Josephine (Lawrence), Kathleen, Ann (John), Ruby (Dave), Alice O’Brien, Pauline (John), Ellen Torng. Elsie will also be missed by her loving nieces and nephews and her special uncle Abraham McDonald at St. Luke’s Home, St. John’s. Also a large circle of relatives and friends and especially her close friends Peter and Meta Watkins and family of Cottlesville. Her sense of humour, beautiful smile and ready laugh charmed everyone she met. Her twinkling eyes and her smile were irrepressible. These are what we will cherish in our hearts always. We love you and miss you dearly. Our hearts are broken. A Memorial Service was held at Whitehorse Funeral Home. Funeral service was held at the R.C. Church in Whitehorse at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 26.
