ROACH, James Allan – Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit on Friday, January 30, 2009, James A. Roach, aged 79 years. Predeceased by daughter Dianne Myler, parents Ethel and Allan Roach, sister Guida Osmond. Leaving to mourn loving and devoted wife Margaret (nee Tobin); his loving children: Catherine Kean (Cecil), Yvonne (Ed Kennedy), special son and life-time buddy Jimmy, Linda Morrissey (David), Kenny (Rita), Allan (Wendy); son-in-law Sid Myler, grandchildren: Tina, Dennis, Patrick, Bobbi, Michael, Andrew, Robert, Kieran, Maria, Allan and Chloe; great-grandchildren: Dawson, Noah, Tyson and Lauren Jamie Marie; sister-in-law Barbara Roth; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as his feline friend, Sally. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Funeral service on Monday, February 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Craigmillar Ave. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
