VAN WYCK, Helen Laura Louise – 97, Truro, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born February 4, 1918, in Midland, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Laura (Hopwood) Carruthers. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Helen is survived by her daughter, Diane (Michael) DeAdder, Debert; grandchildren, Kenny (April), Sandy (Jack), Sharon (Rick), Tracy (Brad), Todd; six great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; daughter-in-law, Moya Van Wyck. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Elmer Van Wyck; son, Gary Van Wyck. Special thanks to the staff of Wynn Park Villa who have given exceptional care to Mom over the past six years. Private interment will be held at a later date at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Etobicoke, Ontario. If so desired, donations in Helen’s memory to SPCA are welcomed.
