MUISE, Leta Belle - Age 92. With grieving hearts, our family announces the peaceful passing of Leta Belle (Chetwynd) Muise of Pubnico, on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Shag Harbour on September 10, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Ernest & Harriett (Larkin) Chetwynd. She was a beautiful, loving, generous, strong woman who, at the age of 12 had to leave school to raise her siblings following the passing of her mother at the age of 35. She then raised her own family of 10 children. During her life, our mother pursued many interests, but especially enjoyed camping, travel, reading, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and board games. Leta was predeceased by her husband Zacharie Muise, son Karl Muise, and great-grandson, Samuel Muise; sons-in-law Vernon Adams and Randy Davis; sisters Annie, June, Mertie, Nellie and Beulah, and brothers Joseph and Lawrence (infant). She is survived by brother Douglas, Hamilton, ON; sister Orley Swimm, Clark’s Harbour; brother-in-law Raleigh Kenney, Barrington; sons; Franklyn (Beverly), Roger (Leona), Richard (Cathy), of Pubnico; Anthony (Sandra), Chebogue; Michael, of Argyle; daughters, Virginia Adams, Pubnico; Beulah (Colin) d’Entremont, South Ohio; Martha (Allan Boudreau) Muise, Weymouth North; Katherine (Ben) d’Entremont, Pleasant Lake; daughter-in-law Janie Muise, Pubnico; 27 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. The family extends their grateful thanks to the medical staff of YRH for their excellent care and compassion. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 2 pm until funeral time at 3 pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Mitchell DeWare officiated.
