It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leslie Robert Anthony announce his passing on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 84 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Catherine (Donald) Cooke, Irene (Hector) Ruth and Robert (Vernetta) Anthony; grandchildren: Jennifer, Monique, Corey, Kelly, Julia, Jessica and Erin; great-grandchildren: Cody, Cayden, Cameron, Rosabella, Sarah, Grayson, Jacob, Ethan and Jack; sisters: Georgian Penney, Myrtle McCarthy and Norma (Peter) French; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Gertrude Emily Anthony, sisters: Emmaline Chartrand and Leona Locke, brother Edgar Anthony, parents Norman and Violet Anthony. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15 at 2 p.m. from The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street with The Very Rev. Baxter Park officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
