DONALD JAMES HOOD
We, the family of the late Donald James Hood, wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to our family and friends for your kindness in our time of sorrow. We would like to thank you for your phone calls, visits, prayers, food, emails, cards, flowers, donations and memorials. Thank you also to those who attended the wake and funeral. Special thanks to Pastor Jason Homan of the Northside Baptist Church for the lovely funeral service that truly was a celebration of our father's life. We'd like to thank our brother, Calvin Hood, for your personal and heartwarming eulogy, "Memories of Dad". Thank you to Debbie Homan for the beautiful music and to the ladies of the Northside Baptist Church for the wonderful lunch following the service. Thank you to the pallbearers, Noah Sparkes, Al Crowe, Cap Brown, Lorne Jennex, Brian Williams, Winston Fitzgerald, Albert Gracie, Carmen Hood and grandsons, Justin and Joshua Ambrose. Thank you to George Stubbert, Albert Stubbert, and Travis Devoe, for your help in our time of need. Special thanks to Dan Campbell and the staff of W. J. Dooley Funeral Service for your compassion and guidance through this very difficult time. Also, special thanks to Dr. Peter Poulos for the wonderful care you provided during dad's hospital stay. Thank you to Dave Jessome and all the nursing staff of 4-West of the Northside General Hospital. Thank you to Marlene MacIntosh, VON and the Cape Breton County Homecare Workers for your home care visits. Finally, to our brother and his wife, Carmen and Kathy Hood, thank you for inviting Dad to come and live with you and for taking such good care of him, we will always be appreciative of that. To each and everyone that helped in any way, your kindness will never be forgotten.
