MOHAN, Sonya Monica, age 76 of Greenwood, Kings Co, passed away on July 10, 2015 in Palliative Care, Annapolis Community Health Centre. She was born on January 1st, 1939 in Ottawa, the daughter of the late Harold and Alice Mohan of North Bay, Ontario. Sonya worked for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Kingston, Nova Scotia and Thompson Newspapers in Toronto and volunteered with many organizations, notable the Ottawa Humane Society and Survivors of Abuse Recovery Society (SOAR). She will be remembered for her joie de vivre, which she expressed through many passions: decorating, gardening, cooking, ballroom dancing, organizing (anyone and anything) and of course her dogs. She grew up in a bilingual home and especially enjoyed conversations in French. She loved to laugh and retained her sense of humour right to the end of her life. She will be lovingly remembered by her partner, Bob MacKenzie; children, Nicole (Jamie); Tim (Brigitte); Catherine (Karl) and William (Mylene). Brothers, William and Stanley; sister, Carmen; grandchildren, Jimmy, Margaret, Olivia, Alex, Katherine, Bridget, Erin and Tara. A celebration of her life took place from 2:00PM to 4:00PM Thursday, July 16, 2015 in the Orchard View Weddings, 83 Bentley Road, Berwick, NS.
