Michael Joseph
aged 60, passed away at his home on July 19, 2015 after a long and very courageous battle with cancer. Leaving to mourn is his wonderful, loving and supportive wife of over 40 years, Linda. His Mother, Margaret Murphy, and his Mother-in-Law, Elizabeth (Bet) Ryan. His beautiful children and grandchildren who he cherished. His sons: Jason (April), Michael (Allison), and daughter Deborah (Steve). His grandchildren: Kyle and Leah, Emma, Erica, Lacey, Ashley and Allie and Pippa. His brothers and sisters: Tom (Helen), Don. Sisters: Shirley (Dick), Suzanne and Margie. Sister-in-law: Debbie (Wayne) and a large number of extended family and friends. Michael is predeceased by his Father, Thomas Murphy, his Grandmother-in-Law, Mrs. Ryan, brother-in-law, Robert Stamp. A very special thank you to his doctors Dr. Johanna Bishop, Dr. Karen Dowden and Dr. Siddiqui and his team of interns and all the nurses at the Health Science Centre as well as the nurses with Community Health. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Special mention to his little furry friends, Amber, Cooper, Scamper and Henry. Michael will be resting at Caul's Funeral Home on Lemarchant Road, St. John's, cremation has already taken place. Visitation on Wednesday, July 22 from 10-12, 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Mass to take place at St. Teresa's Parish on Mundy Pond Road, at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015, followed by inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
