1965 – 2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Earla Elizabeth Harding on July 22nd, 2015. Earla, formerly of Cambridge Narrows, NB passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Earla was the daughter of the late Earle and Myrtle (Trainor) Brooks. Earla is survived by her husband Malcom Harding, her two sons David (Allison) of Moncton, Peter of Moncton, step sons, Adam of Halifax, Andrew of Halifax, Tanner of Riverview and Tyler of Dartmouth, and also one grandson James. She is also survived by her two brothers, Phillip Brooks of Kindersley, SK and Charles Brooks (Norma) of Riverview as well as two nephews and one niece.
She was predeceased by her infant sister Rosemund.
Earla was employed with the federal government for many years up until her time of illness, she recently accomplished a lifelong dream to travel across Western Canada. Earla enjoyed every minute of her adventure and the family will be forever thankful to all those who helped make this possible for her.
The family would like to express a heat felt thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Palliative Care Unit of The Moncton Hospital and the Extra Mural staff for their compassionate care throughout her courageous battle, it will never be forgotten.
In honoring her wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will be held at the Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Cambridge Narrows, NB on Sunday, July 26th at 2PM. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road Riverview (869-2007).
Donations can be made in memory of Earla to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
