Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Monday, July 27, 2015. Harvey Randell formerly of Port Rexton, Trinity Bay and long term resident of Mt. Pearl at the age of 90 years 7 months. Predeceased by parents Helen and Walter Kenneth of Port Rexton; Brothers: Joseph, Port Rexton; Charlie, Toronto; Pearce, Mt. Pearl; Norman, Toronto; and Stewart, Mt. Pearl; Sisters: Sally, and Sophie, Toronto; and mother and father-In-Law: John and Hilda Mate of Port Rexton. Leaving to mourn his best friend and devoted wife of 61 years Violet (nee Mate); Sister-in-law: Minnie Randell, Mt. Pearl; Brothers-in-laws; Martin Mate, St. John's; and Max Mate, Toronto; also leaving to mourn are many special nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave. Mt. Pearl, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 2:00pm from Barrett's Chapel Mt. Pearl. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
