MULLOWNEY, Bernard J. (May 10 1920 - January 30, 2009.) — Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on January 30, 2009 of Bay Bulls, after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by wife Dorothy in 1996, son Bernard in 1994, parents Gregory and Mary Mullowney, brothers: Albert (Mary), Sylvester (Angela), Father Francis, Clement (Patricia), Basil (Rita), Lewis (Catherine), and Vincent (Mame). Left to mourn with precious memories are his children Harold (Sharon), Wade (Mary), Derrick (Roxanne), Karen (Bobby Denine), Frankie and Romona (Bren Tobin), his 10 grandchildren, Terri-Lynn (Matthew) Susan and Laura (Jonathan), Jillian, Kelly (Michael) and Lisa (Michael), Brant (Maggie) and Gillian, Martin (Charlene) and Mark (Nancy) and his two great-grandchildren Carter and Lily. Bernie also leaves to mourn his only sister Marie Griffin (John) of Georgia, a number of sisters and brothers-in-law, a large circle of special friends at Alderwood Estates. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home in Bay Bulls on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 2 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Sts. Peter and Paul R.C. Church, Bay Bulls on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mount Loretta R.C. Cemetery, Bay Bulls.
