DOUCETTE, GEORGE STEPHEN
It is with great sadness the family announces the death of George Doucette of Saint John who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Born in Yarmouth, NS, November of 1931, he was the son of the late Percy and Hazel (Barry) Doucette.
George was a heavy equipment operator and worked for the City Works Department for 32 years, retiring in 1995.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years Elaine Sarah (Muise) Doucette; daughters Sharon Mills and Barb Cameron (Bob) both of Saint John, Terry Anne MacNaughton (Sandy) of Dartmouth, NS and Gail Williams (Allan) of the Bahamas; son Donnie Doucette of Nova Scotia and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Monday, August 3rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Legion Tribute will begin at 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 4th at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
