BROWN, ALICE ESTHER
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Alice Esther Brown which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, August 3rd, 2015. Born 1924, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late William and Flora May (MacCormack) Woodley.
Alice was a war bride and she worked in England during the war. Alice and Bob returned to Saint John in 1947 with their first child Robert. Alice was an excellent cook and made the best bread. She enjoyed knitting and swimming at the beach.
Alice is survived by her children Richard (Jocelyne) of Riverview, Pamela McNeill (Frank) of Saint John, Rodney (Krista) of Saint John, Kimberley Bajzath (Joseph) of Montreal; grandchildren Michael, Michelle, Matthew, Erin, David, Meghan, and Emily; great-grandchildren Jada, Zachary and Jazmyn; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband Robert Frank, son Robert, six brothers and sisters and granddaughter Jennifer Brown.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Rocmaura Nursing Home for their kindness to our mom over the past three years.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Per Alice’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Alice may be made to War Amps, Romero House, Multiple Sclerosis or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
