FLANAGAN, ELLIOTT WILLIAM
Elliott W. Flanagan, 86, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Born in Browns Yard, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Kelly) Flanagan.
Elliott was a retired carpenter and construction worker. He enjoyed cars and caring for animals, especially his canine friend, Belle.
Elliott will be sadly missed by his children, Anne Soucy (Yves) of Moncton, Wanda Kelly (late Raymond) and Brian (Theresa), both of Irishtown, Charlotte Flanagan (Dave Rhydwen) of Hopewell Cape, Lou (Anne) and Joanie Flanagan, both of Moncton; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Elliott was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Anne (Arseneau) Flanagan (1982); sister, Bertha Flanagan; son, Allan; granddaughter, Janice; son-in-law, Raymond.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, 340 Dominion St., on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 12:00 pm, with Rev. Mike Toner officiating. Reception in the Parish Hall following the Mass. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
In Elliott’s memory, donations to the Kent Co. Animal Rescue or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
