LESTAGE, JEANNE UBALDINE (nee BOUCHER)
1922 – 2015
Moncton, NB - Jeanne U. Lestage, 93, passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on Monday August 10, 2015. Born in St Bruno de Gigues, QC, she was the daughter of the late Emile Boucher and late Eugenie Boucher (nee Bouchard).
She worked as a registered nurse at the Shediac Hospital, Moncton City Hospital and at the Villa du Repos. She will be remembered for her love and devotion for her children and her travels, specifically to Medjugorie and Spain. She was a person of great values that she instilled in her children and surroundings.
Jeanne will be sadly missed by her sister, Edmee (May) Boucher, Victoriaville, QC, by her two sons, Marc (Irène) and George (Georgette) of Grand-Barachois; by her three daughters, Joanne Leger (Léopold) of Shediac, Judith Lestage of Moncton and Michelle LeBlanc (Eric) of Cormier-Village; by her nine grandchildren, Lynn, Denis, Joanne, Louise, Rachelle, Rebecca, Renelle, Andrée and Daniel; by her five great grandchildren, Janique, Josée, Chase, Estelle and Eric; She also leaves very special friends, Emile, Frances, Zelia, Rachel and Louis, and people of the Lefurgey Residence. She also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gaston Lestage (2014), by her brother Sebastien Boucher and by her sister, Emilienne (Mimi) Gregoire.
In respect to Jeanne’s wishes, there will be visitations at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton on Thursday, August 13th, 2015 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00am. Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
