It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, dear grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Christine Bonaparte, on Aug. 8, 2015. She was the best mother that we could have ever asked for.
Born in Frenchvale, the daughter of the late Clancy and Annie Mae (Gouthro) MacNamara.
She is survived by her daughters, Bev (Doug) Power, Howie Centre, Barb (Gerard) Cote, Glace Bay, Phyllis (Rich) McNeil, West Bay; her sons, David (Lisa), Sydney, Brent, Edmonton, Blair, Sydney. Grandchildren, Darren, Ainsley (Lance), Courtney, Eric (Carrie), Ian (Kristen), Jonathan, Brianna, Matthew, Melanie (Jared), Siobhan, Natalie and Richie and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by the father of her children, Greg Bonaparte, Sydney; her sister, Maureen Linden, Sydney; brothers, Tom, Bedford, Gerald (Sheila), Frenchvale.
She was predeceased by sisters, Jean MacDonald, Alexina Gillam, Alice MacAdam, Sarah; brothers, Johnny and stepbrother, John Fitzgerald.
The family would like to thank staff at Victoria Haven for the care that mom received while she was there.
Visitation will be at Chant's Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, Friday, Aug. 14, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Frenchvale, with Fr. Paul Abbass officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
