Simon Brewer, age 82, passed away Aug. 10, 2015 at Highland Manor in Neil’s Harbour.
Born in Ingonish, he was the son of the late Simon and Rachel (McGean) Brewer.
Simon was a retired fisherman who enjoyed many years on the ocean. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church in Ingonish. Simon loved Newfoundland music and culture. He enjoyed a number of trips with friends to visit the province.
He is survived by his close friend Heather MacDougall.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Mary, and brother Fonse.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, in Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, Ingonish. A graveside service will be the following day at St. Peter’s Church Cemetery at 11 a.m.
