Passed peacefully away at Agnes Pratt Home on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, Rosemary Hurley (nee Power), age 89 years. Predeceased by her parents David and Lucy (nee Collins) Power of Mount Carmel, Salmonier; her husband Gus Hurley; daughter Mercedes; brothers Basil, Thomas and Brian and sister Maisie. Leaving to mourn her son Brian (Marie); daughters Catherine (David Hodgins) and MaryLu (James Sternhouse); grandchildren Lauren Hurley, Andrew Hurley and Duncan Stenhouse; brothers Brendan, Wilfred (Gloria) and sister Lucy (Patrick Dobbin), as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. The family thanks the staff of Admiral's Coast Retirement Centre and Agnes Pratt Home for their exceptional care of Rose while she was with them. We will miss her and her laughter, her jokes, her love of a game of cards or scrabble, her cooking but we are grateful that she is at peace. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa's Church. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Society of Newfoundland and Labrador or charity of one's choice.
