Irma (Johnson) Elder

May 28th 1951- August 8th 2015

Irma Fern Elder passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke, B.C., Saturday August 8, 2015 at the age of 64.

There will be no formal funeral service by Irma's own request. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, # 202-1835 Gordon Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 3H5, in memory of Irma.
Irma was born in Climax, Sask. on May 28th, 1951. Irma attended school in Climax and Shaunavon, Sask. Irma married Doug Elder in 1969 , and shortly thereafter they moved to Revelstoke, B.C. where she has resided ever since. She will be re breed for her smiling face and kind words. Many will remember Irma working at the Classic Jewelry Store and the Revelstoke Railway Museum. Irma was a very social person and loved spending time with all her friends.
Irma was predecessor by her husband, Doug in 2001, her mother, Jean Johnson 2009, her father Ford Johnson in 1983. Irma is survived by three children: Jeff (Christine) Elder of High River, Alberta, Shannon Elder (Mike McAllister) of Calgary, Alberta and Kelli Elder (Brock Boland) of High River, Alberta; seven grandchildren: McKenna, Halley, Hannah, Ty, Nolan, Ava and Marissa; two brothers: Glen Johnson of Claresholm, Alberta and Howie Johnson of Climax, Sask.; one sister, Myrna (Bob) McDonald of Claresholm, Alberta; mother-in- law Emily Elder of Revelstoke, B.C. as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke, B. C.
