Passed away after a long battle with kidney disease at the Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, March 27, 2008, Francis Joseph Shortall, age 80, of the Goulds. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Sheila of 581/2 years; children Gerry (Geraldine), Wayne, Gail Murphy (Mike "#1 Buddy"), Debbie, John, Sheila Lynch (Tommy); thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; brothers Tommy, Paddy, Paul, Kevin, Leonard and their families; sisters-in-law Madonna Grouchy and Jean Lecelle; special friends Kevin and Carm Murray, Suzan Shortall, Gordie and Laura Murphy and a very special and caring friend Dr. Wendy Whelan. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Thursday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 Noon, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 10 a.m. from St. Kevin's Church, Goulds. Interment to follow at St. Kevin's Cemetery, Goulds. No flowers by request, donations in his memory may be made to the Dialysis Unit at the Waterford Hospital.
