Passed away at the Health Sciences Complex on August 17, 2015. Roger Drake aged 59 years. Roger was one of a kind. He was a man of many talents who laughed a lot and probably worked too many hours. He was tireless throughout his life but never complained; he always felt that what he was doing was worth his best effort. Though he was a carpenter by trade, Roger was much, much more. He was at one point a black belt in Karate, though as calm and collected as you can get. Sporting a "Selleck" mustache for much of his life, he was always looking for the joke or laugh in every conversation. And yet, when Roger spoke, people listened. Roger leaves us all a lifetime of happy memories and laughs. He will be forever in our minds and hearts. Roger is survived by: Adam (son), Hannah (mother); grandchildren Melissa, Aleaha, and Tyler; siblings Eleanor, Pat, Christina, Ursula, Les, Gertrude and Lorne; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family, too numerous to list but not forgotten. Roger is reunited with his son Rodney, father Leslie and sister Gloria. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Barrett's Chapel on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 2 pm. which will be open to all to bid Roger farewell. Cremation will follow funeral service.
