LOWER FIVE ISLANDS – Leslie S. Eagles, 76, of Lower Five Islands passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Springhill.
Born in Lower Five Islands, he was a son of the late Hilbert and Iris (Davis) Eagles.
He was a retired construction and forestry worker.
He is survived by his companion of 27 years, Faye (McCarthy) Currie; daughters, Theresa Eagles, Maynooth, Ont.; Lisa Eagles (Mike Boldt), Whitney, Ont.; Evelyn Currie (Laurie Perry), Amherst; Kathryn Paul (Scott), East Mapleton; sons, Leslie “Punkin” (Liz), Belleville, Ont.; Michael, Maynooth, Ont.; sisters, Ruth Power (Roland), Five Islands; Martha Webb (Gary), Lower Five Islands; brothers, Clayton (Marie), Five Islands; Aubrey (Irene), Lower Five Islands; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley McCallum; brothers, Grant, Mearl, Berton, Kenneth “Billy”, Royden, Morton.
A time of visitation was held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Five Islands Fire Hall, where a celebration of life service followed, Rev. John Parsons officiating. Burial in the Lower Five Islands Cemetery.
