Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Wednesday August 19, 2015, Alice Sparkes of Sibley's Cove age 86 years. Predeceased by husband Roy. Leaving to mourn children Sylvia (Alfred) Froude, Lester (Joanne) Sparkes and Marion (Glenn) Squires, daughter-in-law Marion Sparkes. Six grandchildren Gregory (Melanie), Gordon (Patsy), Neal (Renee), Lesley Ann (Duncan), Glenn (Nicole), Justin. Six great-grandchildren Ryan, Jarod, Parker, Hannah, Chelsea and Cameron. Step-grandchildren Katrina (Dennis), Kristy and Chantelle (Gord). Step-great-grandchildren Nathan, Connor, Adrien, Krisztian. Sisters Frances (Heber) Pryor, Linda North, Joan (Wilfred) Eddy. Sisters-in-law Violet Goodwin, Goldie Rodgers and Letty Pryor. Brothers-in-law Gord Sparkes and Vincent Sparkes. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Resting at Green's Funeral Home, Winterton. Visiting hours Thursday 7-9 p.m. Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday visitation will take place at Bethel United Church, Sibley's Cove from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in Bethel United Church Cemetery Sibley's Cove. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the A.A.
