Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, in the arms of her loving family, on August 19, 2015, age 91 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Felix (January 22, 1998), parents Wilson and Bessie Brown, brother and sister-in-law Alex and Ruby Brown, sister and brother-in-law Megan and Hector Carter and baby sister Lily. Also predeceased by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gerald and Mary Lawton, Michael Lawton, and Kathleen and Victor Kershisnik. Leaving to cherish precious memories are her loving family, sons - Glen, Robert, Donald (Philomena); daughters: Edwina Green (Ross) and Jennifer O'Neill (Jim); grandchildren: Tina, Tracey, Janine, James, April, Dustin, Joey, Terry, Leslie, Jennifer, Joanne, Mark and Erica; step-grandchildren: Shawn and Pamela; great-grandchildren: Max, Mia, Cameron, Iesha, Clara, Tyler, Ethan, Landon, Carson, Robert, Rex, Ronald, Caden, Raina, Parker, Tripp and Hannah; sister-in-law Fran Lawton, special friend Moira Schurman, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends in King's Cove, St. John's, Toronto and Rock Springs, Wyoming. A very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Larry Alteen for giving Mom a second chance as well as the staff on One North/South, Palliative Care and Pastoral Care at St. Patrick's Mercy Home for their tender loving care. Visitation at the family home, Lawton's Lane, King's Cove on Thursday, August 20 from 7-9 pm and Friday, August 21 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place from St. James Anglican Church on Saturday, August 22 at 2 pm. Cremation to follow with Inurnment at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Mom's memory may be made to St. Patrick's Mercy Home.
