The family of Rose Palibroda wish to announce her peaceful passing at Saskatoon City Hospital.
Rose was pre-deceased by her husband William (Bill) Palibroda, her father Joe Rogozinski, mother Anna Rogozinski (Maruschak), brothers Mike, Ed, Albert, sisters Mary Gram and Jean Markowski.
She is survived by her sister Adeline Painchaud, sons Jim, Ed and Bob; daughters in law, Vanny Palibroda, Lorna King, Marlene Palibroda and Linda Bec; grand children Ryan, Dave, Karen, Dean , Austin, and Melissa Palibroda, and step grand children Ken and Tara Dearing; great grandchildren, Weston, Esme and Aela Palibroda ; step great grandchildren Branson and Brinn Dearing and Bailey Archer.
Rose’s early childhood years were on a farm near Bellevue Sk. During the great depression her family was forced to move and made their new home on a farm near Meath Park. She married William (Bill) Palibroda in 1944, they made their new home on a farm near Weirdale, where they raised their three sons and where they spent the rest of their lives together. Rose loved the small mixed farm life. She was an excellent cook, she had a passion for interior decorating and caring for many house plants. Rose was always very fashion conscious and always took pride in her appearance.
Rose was heavily involved in community activities including the Lions club, Curling Club and Seniors Association. She was always ready and willing to lend a hand with the many neighbourhood “working bees “. In 1997 Rose with husband Bill received a Volunteer Recognition Award for dedication to recreation in their community from the North Central Regional Recreation Assoc.
Her grand children were extremely important to her and she demonstrated and bestowed unconditional love and caring for each one. She was loved by her many nieces and nephews who were all very special to her.
Bill & Rose were married for 54 years, until Bill’s passing in May 1998. She eventually left the farm and lived with her sister, Adeline, in Prince Albert, later they moved to Saskatoon. In 2006, Rose moved into the Balicanta Personal Care Home, in Saskatoon, where she was given excellent loving care for almost nine years.
A memorial service will be held at Weirdale Community Hall, Friday September 4, 2015 at 12:00 PM.
Followed by interment of Rose, next to her husband Bill, at the Garden of Sermon On the Mount, Memorial Gardens in Prince Albert at 3:45 PM.
