It is with sadness that we, the family of Charles Robert 'Bobby' Peters, 82, regret to announce his passing on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Pierce 'Percy' and Helen (Jollymore) Peters.
Bobby lived his life on Mira Road at the family farm. He was a truck driver in the construction industry. Bobby enjoyed fishing, tending his vegetable garden and working around the farm. After his retirement, he enjoyed trucking with his son and two grandsons.
Surviving are his wife, Beth (Morrison); son, Barry (Margie), Marion Bridge; daughters, Janice (Brian) Casey, Centre Burlington, N.S. and Leanne (Dean) McIntyre, Cambridge, Ont.; grandchildren, Chad Peters, Scott Peters (Sarah Pino), Courtney Casey (Ryan), Chris Casey (Misty), Matt Casey, Kaitlin Morrison (Mar), Bryden Morrison, Bryce Morrison, Mathew McIntyre (Danielle) and Chris McIntyre.
Bobby was predeceased by his brother, Pierce.
There will be no visitation and a private memorial service will be held, with interment in Oakfield Cemetery. A celebration of Bobby’s life will take place at Union Presbyterian Church Hall, Albert Bridge on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 1-3 p.m.
